Catching Up

It has been so busy around here and I don't look for it to slow down any time soon. We are starting into birthday mode and we have a lot! We have a birthday every week for a month.

We headed off to Florida for spring break. Man was it cold, but I knew we where taking a chance going in April. Doug got in some much needed golf and we did make it to the beach for a day. We did get some sun even though it was a little on the chilly side. I forgot my camera but did get a few pictures of the kids on a disposable one. I'll post some when I get them on a memory card. Adalyn loved the beach, well she loved Florida and everything about it. She kept saying Mommy isn't this the best ever?! I dont think she remembered being there last year. We stayed with my aunt and uncle that Adalyn is crazy about. She missed my mom and was so excited to get home and see her. She said she wanted to go home with her and me to stay at home, so I couldn't help but let her.

What an exciting week I have coming up! Lisa from The Long Road to China, and Missy from Live Big And Laugh are coming to town! I cant wait to meet them and hope they have an awesome trip!

This day is everything we could have dreamed of. Three glorious years ago we saw the face of an angel. She has brought such joy and happiness in our lives as all of our children have. We will never look at April Fool's Day quite the same, we love You Adalyn Gail.

Our wonderful Call

Three wonderful years ago we got an amazing call!!!!! And the next day we got 3 pictures of the most beautiful little girl we had ever laid eyes on. There are no words that describe how I felt and I still get butterflies thinking about it.

I loved her long before I ever saw her face. But I wondered if it would be the same depth of love that I felt with Dalton. God had been so gracious to me already, was I testing him? I prayed for the same love, feelings and emotions I already knew with him but what if I didn't? Could I love another child as I did him? She deserved the very best, what if I couldn't give it to her? Its funny now looking back that I would even have these questions. Her smile, her personality, her funny things she says and does. It all just amazes me and leaves me in awe that one little tiny being could have me so wrapped around her little tiny finger and not even know it. I thank the Lord each and every day he blesses me to be a mom, there is nothing else any better!

Friends

I would like to send this friend award out to my friend Leslie.

She is a wonderful friend, as well as a great coordinator. She takes time out of her busy life to plan get togethers for us and this weekend was nothing short of great planning. We went to Disney on Ice and it was wonderful. The adults as well as the kids had a great time. We shopped a little afterwards and finished up the evening with supper at Calvert's. It was a very fun filled day. I don't even have to worry about taking pictures because thanks to her and Larry that's taken care of too.

I hope everyone crosses paths with a friend as special as I have in their lifetime. It sure does make life more enjoyable.

She finishes first

Adalyn was one happy girl tonight, she finished up her gymnastics class and got her ribbon. She was so excited standing up on that podium cheesing for her brother to take her picture. Of course I forgot tonight was the last night and didn't take my camera so I hope cell phones take desent pictures. We signed her up for another session so hopefully by then I'll have my new camera and get some great pictures. I'll need them to look back on when she makes it to the Olympics one day. :o)

She's a natural

Adalyn has been in gymnastics for a while now and she just loves it. She absolutely loves this bathing suit, aka "gymnastics outfit." She would wear it everyday if I would let her, and honestly if we aren't going anywhere I usually do. :o)

Saturday we had the most perfect day and "there she was" running around in the back yard. Yes, in this bathing suit and her purple ankle boots. It was a sight to behold!!!

How did we get so lucky to have such great kids!!!
