We had our monthly play date today and celebrated the Chinese New Year. Thanks for hosting Debbie and Liana, we had a great time. We colored pictures and made envelopes for good luck. Its always nice to see the moms and catch up on things. As you can see from the pictures we tried to get a couch photo but it was more entertaining than anything. Some of the girls didn't want to sit on the couch so they stood behind the couch. Either way we got some great pictures for the girls to look back on and have a laugh.

Leslie took these amazing pictures of Adalyn today and showed me how to use picasa. All I can say is WOW! A new camera has officially moved to the top of my must have list. She claims the lighting in my living room is great but she definitely knows what she is doing in the picture taking department. It was great spending the day with you and Lily but it ended way to soon, having you as my friend makes my heart smile.

Please pray
I received a very sad call from Leslie tonight about a family who has lost everything to a fire. This family traveled with Leslie and Larry to China in 2007. It breaks my heart for anyone to go through something of this magnitude. Please say a prayer for them in the days to come. If any one has any ideas how to help this family out please pass them along. I know God is watching over them and their children and surly there is something good that will come of this.

Random Cuteness
Adalyn was going out the door this morning and I thought how cute she looked all bundled up. (pay no attention to the date) So I grabbed my camera and got this picture. In the first picture she was reading a hymn book. She loves to read and has a mommy who dont. Funny how God knows the perfect child. Anyway needless to say I'm reading a lot more these days and actually enjoying it.
I have a neat story I wanted to share. Last night I went with Doug to take pictures of a job he is doing. Didn't want to go, tired, long day at work, tired, had to drag Adalyn back out. Anyway, got there, took pictures. Cutest young couple, only married a couple of years. Three dogs, no kids just starting out. Adalyn was all over the little puppy she was holding. She ask to hold it over and over. So she asked her husband to bring out their other two dogs that weren't as small as the puppy she was holding for Adalyn to see and complimenting on how cute Adalyn was all the while.
We where just about ready to walk out the door and she asked "was it a hard process to go through to adopt"? A smile appeared on my face, well thats all she needed to ask, wish she would have asked earlier, I had so much to say and not enough time to say it all! How awesome is God to sent us to them! That was one trip I'm so glad I made!

Traveling friends
Emma and AdalynEmma and Ryan are in China now to get their little sister. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this exciting time in their lives. They are a great family and we can't wait to meet their newest addition!

New Look
I just love my new look. Leslie told me to start looking something. Sure no problem but little did I know there are so many to choose from. It didn't take me long to start feeling a little overwhelmed. I told her just pick something and surprise me, so once again she rocks. I couldn't have picked anything out that I love any better. Thanks a million!
She also has some great pictures on her blog from our New Years Eve party. Everyone had a blast. We ate and chatted, the kids played. It was a perfect way to end 2008. We hope everyone had a wonderful New Years and 2009 brings you everything you wish for.
