Thank you Leslie

My friend has done it once more. She gave me a signature. It is something I have been wanting after seeing others and how cute they are. She has been so busy doing and redoing blogs for all her friends that I couldnt bring myself to ask her. Its so nice to have friends that just know you and are so giving of themselves. Leslie, you are a true gem, thanks again.

In Bailey's memory

" LITTLE ANGELS"
When God calls little children to dwell with him above, We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold, So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but a few, To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try, The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye." So when a little child departs, we who are left behind must realize, God loves children, Angels are hard to find.

I wasn't sure if I would post on this subject but our daughter April sent this to me and I thought I would share. Yesterday was a difficult day for us as our granddaughter (April's third baby) was called home 7 years ago. While I'm thankful for the 6 months and 16 days we had with her, its never enough. Through our faith, the support of family and friends we find the strength to go on until we can be with her again.

We Miss and Love you Bailey very much.

Till We Meet Again....

How can one child have such a great smile?

back to work

Here is another picture of my bathing beauty.
I went back to work today but not before a very exciting weekend. Leslie and I met another mom at a Chinese Culture Camp on Saturday. The girls had a great time, will post pics later. They wrote in sand, learned some Chinese and martial arts. Me and Adalyn are used to sleeping in so it was an early morning for us. We went to our son and daughter in laws house Saturday night and had a cook out with Larry & Leslie and the kids. Its nice to have family and friends in the same neighborhood. Leslie took me to Hamburg yesterday, oh my gosh, a shopping girls dream. I was telling Doug about it and he said, kinda like going to a new golf course. I never thought of it that way but I guess he's right. I've had a very busy week off and cant wait until it's vacation time again. :o)

A fun day at the pool

she had to much fun
hanging out

We had a great time at the pool yesterday. Adalyn is such a little fish. I think she would have stayed all day. She feel asleep as soon as we put her in the car.
I have enjoyed being home with them so much this week. I would like to retire now and work when they are grown.

Thankful Thursday

I've been off all week and couldn't be more thankful to have a job that lets me be off whenever. I have enjoyed my time with the kids this week even though Dalton sometimes doesn't need me like Adalyn does. She is sitting on my lap as I write this post and I wonder sometimes how I ever got so lucky.

Going back to work on Monday will be hard but in only two weeks we will be heading to Florida. We are taking the kids to Disney World and the Nickelodeon Hotel. Adalyn is crazy about Sponge Bob and I do have to say he is pretty cute. She will be so excited to eat, sleep and play with everything centered around that little yellow guy. Dalton is still young enough to enjoy it too. So we thought before time gets away from us we better take advantage of this time in our lives.

As we where having dinner the other night with our freinds from Florida, we met our oldest daughters boss. He was amazed at our family size. I told him Doug and I have never been without kids, we probably wouldn't know what to do with ourselves. He said well why start know, this late in the game? I couldn't agree more.

Today we are off to the pool for some R & R. Doug will join us for the first time this week. I will post photos later of our exciting day.

Adalyn and Bel

One of my friends and fellow bloggers recently lost their beloved pet so I hope this post doesn't upset her, we are still thinking and praying for you. I took Bel to the salon today and she had a ball. Adalyn was a little confused that we where leaving her but I explained that we would come back to get her after she got a bath. She was napping when I went to get her so she was really excited to wake up and find she was back home. She said Bel smells better mommy, and I couldn't agree more.

Adalyn and Katie

Adalyn and Katie

We had dinner with our friends the other night and this was the first time we met their daughter Katie. She is from Chongqing also. They have been home for a little over a year. They moved to Florida while in the process of adopting so we hadn't got the chance to see her. They played like they had known each other all their lives.

Ahhhhh moments

My Adalyn is the sweetest little girl. She told her bubby last night to calm down and relax, how cute is that. When we get her out of bed in the morning she'll pat us on the back and say its ok, its ok. I dont know if she's trying to make us feel better or her but it sure is sweet. We are the luckiest parents on earth. We thank God each and every day that we get to call you our daughter.

Thanks Leslie

Leslie stopped by work yesterday with this cute magnet and a card. She is so sweet, and what it says is so true. The longer we know each other the more we find we have in common, thanks again Leslie, love ya.

OUR FAMILY

Two of my favorite things

Aubri Jayde
These are two of my favorite things, Miss Adalyn and Miss Audri. Audri Jayde is my great-niece, she was born on Good Friday. Any chance we get to keep her is a blessing. Adalyn loves having her picture taken and when I took Aubri's, that was her perfect chance. We are going to spend tomorrow evening with Lily, its her 3rd birthday and to say Adalyn is excited is an understatement. She loves her and Ella and talks about them all the time.

Summers here

We had a very exciting and busy weekend. Friday night we went to Louisville and met Larry, Leslie, Ella and Lily. Lily had surgery ealier that day so we where glad she was feeling good enough to have dinner with us. My niece and two grandchildren spent Saturday at the pool with us. The kids had a great time and no one got sunburnt but me. By the grace of God we all made it to church this morning. I love the weekends with the kids, I just wish it didnt end so soon.

T-ball or not

(BFF)
the star player needs a drink

Lily, Dalton, Adalyn and Marlee

This game didnt go as well as the first one. She was not in the mood for T-ball, it was hot, she was hungry and those two things dont mix for a 3 year old. Her friend Marlee is really a good little player. I might need her to show Adalyn some pointers. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends on the play ground after the game, so it wasnt a total loss. We had dinner with her BFF afterwards so that was a good way to end the evening. I really think she has the makings of a great T-ball player though, but that is coming from her #1 fan, mommy.

Gotcha Day celebration

We took the kids to Build A Bear for Adalyn's gotcha day celebration. She was so excited to get to build her own bear. We have taken her before but this time she really seem to get what was going on. After we got home she wanted to take the bears heart out that she had put in. I told her he needed it and she said like I do? She is so smart it blows me away.

Thankful Thursday

Adalyn and Lily

Adalyn and Lily
(best friends)
Look at our cute girls. This was taken on Adalyn's birthday. Its the fourth picture we took so they where tired of smiling.

Mckenzie's graduation

Doug, Dalton & Mckenzie
Mckenzie is our first grandchild and I cant believe she just graduated from middle school. We are so proud of her and all she has accomplished in her short life. She got many awards and designed the program for her class. We love her so much and cant wait to see what her high school years will bring.

She is now a little fish in a big pond.

Adalyn's first T-Ball Game

Adalyn's birthday party

She got some really nice gifts Adalyn and a few of her friends at her party.

The Saturday before her actual birthday we had her party at an upscale chuck e cheese place. She had about 12 friends hang out with her for the day. It was nice to visit with all the parents and watch the kids have such a good time. Leslie and I took our kids to chuck e cheese on the day of her birthday. We love getting the kids together and hanging out. We have just as much fun as the kids do. Thanks everyone for making her special day so special.

look how much she's grown

This is Adalyn on her 1st birthday
This is Adalyn on her 3rd birthday
I cant believe how much she's changed.
